Kayla Hayes, a dedicated educator, is passionate about integrating faith into the classroom and curriculum at Eastwind Christian Academy (ECA). She has taught in the Brevard Public Schools community for nearly six years. In addition, she has devoted over 13 years to the Sunday School Ministry, nurturing the spiritual growth of young minds. Kayla eagerly looks forward to seamlessly weaving her faith into the fabric of Education. Her philosophy centers on fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and spiritual growth within her classroom.
Miss Hayes obtained her BA from the University of Central Florida, with endorsements in Reading and ESOL. Her contributions as an Emerging Teacher of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year highlighted her unwavering dedication and promise in Education. In the 2021-2022 academic year, Miss Hayes was recognized as Teacher of the Year! However, her impact extends far beyond the classroom.
In addition to attaining a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Miss Hayes demonstrates her leadership skills as she pursues academic excellence. She has served as a mentor, a Grade Level Chair, and a valued member of the Teacher Leadership Council. Miss Hayes provides professional development opportunities to colleagues of her profession.
Miss Hayes brings a wealth of experience, a dedication to excellence, and considerable expertise to the ECA family. She is committed to nurturing young minds in a supportive and faith-filled environment. Miss Hayes strives to promote academic excellence, critical thinking and spiritual growth by inspiring students to develop a strong moral compass, empathy for others and a sense of purpose in their lives.
